I have owned this car for 3 years now and I haven't had any issues at all, except for the Infotaiment System that had an small crack inside. Called Mazda after a month, they had it replaced after 2 weeks. Don't buy this car if you are shopping for 7-seater as the 3rd row is kinda small. I have a family of 3 so I didn't really need it, I just use it as 2rows with a huge space at the back. The interior is one of the best in it's class. The driving is even better compared to Pilot and Highlander. The Turbo engine gives you a more exciting driving experience and of course Mazda's SkyActiv tech. All in all, It really is a reliable SUV for a family of 3-5. The Quality is great, comfort is above average, styling is top-notch and Value is the best. For 35k USD this is the cheapest yet best when it comes to performance. Really an underrated SUV.
    • Don't fear the CX-9

I switched from a Pilot Touring 2016 to a CX-9 GT. My advise to those who think about switching, go ahead, don’t hesitate. Sportier, smoother and quieter ride. I’m not going to diss the Pilot, I liked it. Even my wife, she was a fan of the Pilot and she wasn’t really happy buying the CX-9 but after she drove it she was sold. If you’re a family of 6 or 7 and you need the third row don’t buy it. It would be too small. Otherwise don’t hesitate. The reason why we switched is because our Pilot got stolen. We were looking for a used Pilot or Highlander but we decided to buy something less expensive. There is so many bills to pay with the childs and everything we didn’t want to spend too much money on a car. A used CX-9 is almost 5k less than a Pilot or a Highlander and the insurances are lower too. To me that’s a steal. You get something that’s on the Acura, Lexus or Audi territory for way less than a Honda or Toyota. And for those interested in what’s under the hood this is a really advanced engine. What they have done with the turbo is impressive. 227 HP might not seems like a lot but 310 ft-lb of torque is really impressive. For those not familiar with torque let’s just say that torque is where the fun is. It’s fun because it is easily accessible. You get it from low RPM, you don’t need to rev up to get it. It's always there ready to use.
    • Very fun to drive, stylish family SUV

Not only does it turn heads with how beautiful this SUV is, but the ‘19 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring is so fun to drive. It doesn’t even feel like your driving a 3rd row vehicle. Ive had CX-9 for about 3 months, a little over 5,000 miles, and performance wise it’s been great. I live inPittsburgh PA where there’s a lot of hills, and I’ve finally driven it during a snowy night and I felt safe the whole time. The AWD is amazing, did not have any trouble going up those steep hills with an inch or two of snow. The inside feels like I’m driving a BMW or so, the quality of materials is awesome! I do however have to say that the backup and front camera are disappointing. The 3rd row seating can be a little tight, but I’ve sat inside a Tahoe and there wasn’t much difference. The CX-9 does lack room the trunk, my first family trip of 7 people, we had to use a roof top bag for our luggage. Overall, it’s so fun to drive! I like to drive pretty fast, and the CX-9 turbo engine with premium gas gives a nice acceleration and the handling is awesome! (Pittsburgh has a lot of curves) I love the design Mazda really turns heads, makes me feel like I’m driving a luxury vehicle at an affordable price.
